Tuesday I was moved from the 4th General Hospital on Fort McKinley down here to the 49th G.H. at the Manila Jockey Club. This is the Evacuation Hospital - from here we get on a boat for home. A big shipment left Friday of over 400 men. We are all anxiously waiting the next shipment in hopes that it won't be too long before we are on our way, too. I'm hoping to make home by Christmas, so that's why I'd like to be moving pretty quick. I've been unofficially informed that I'll be sent to Bushnell General at Brigham City so it should be easy to get home once I get there. It's tough waiting day after day with Christmas getting closer every minute and me still in Manila.

I'm hoping to get on a boat this week sometime - I'd better or I'll miss Santa Claus.
